Book a Space
FAQ for Event Organizers
**PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE BOOKING**
What COVID related policies are in effect?
As is always the case, we follow the Babson College Covid Guidelines. This generally means masking is optional, though encouraged. As the pandemic progresses we will address and upate this policy as needed.
When is the Foundry Open?
The Foundry is open 10am - 6pm, Monday to Friday during the Summer. During the Fall and Spring semesters the Foundry is open 10am - 10pm, 7 days a week.
Do I need keys to access the facilities?
Keys are not needed if your reservation will take place during our regualar hours. Check in with a Scout to gain access to the Studio you have reserved.
How does the tech work, and can someone help me with that?
Our Scouts can show you how to use the tech in the spaces, though you are welcome to try yourself. It's made to be easy to use. If you need additional assistance, contact Babson IT Support.
When can I come to the Foundry to see the spaces?
If you would like to see a space, come by during our regular hours before you book to ensure that the spaces work how you intend.
Why don't you use the EMS reservation system?
EMS is only available to indivudals logging in with a Babson ID, and we cater to the three college (BOW) community. In order to ensure fair registration for all BOW community members we thought it best to use a different system.
Good to remember:
- Include the time you need for preparations and cleanup in the space in your space reservation.
- Please cancel your booking right away if your event is canceled.
- We do not have a cleaning service -- it is your duty to put the furniture, tools, equipment, or materials back to their positions after the event.
- Events in the Foundry can only last until 9:00pm -- the event should end and the spaces be cleaned before that time.
- If you need any additional information or help, you can contact the Director for assistance.
